For The Birds

Hi Everyone, Faye here today, and I've got a double whammy of cuteness for you...

Tiddly Inks For The Birds. What can I say? These little chicks are so adorable, you'll wanna use them all! And there are enough chick combos in the set, that you can pack a few on every card you make. Sorted.

Next up, my Go To Sentiment Rescue... Die-Namics By The Letters. How many times this die set has saved my bacon, I just don't know, but sometimes, I use them just for fun! And then there's Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny Paper Pad. Luuuuuurve the colours. Perfecto, when you have lots of chicks to colour in...

My Fair Lady

Happy Friday everyone! I am still on my hols so this was a super quick make from me before I left, in between sorting all my packing lol!

Because of the lack of time this is rather a minimalist card from me today, I won't go so far as to say CAS, but it's hovering on the edges of ;)

It was very quick and easy to make though and took a minimum of materials, so perfect to whip something up at the last minute or if you have a bunch of cards to make.

I used the following items on this card:

I edged all my die cut papers with Walnut Stain DI, the tiny butterflies come as part of the Make a Card #3 set and I used 1 piece of the Scrapberry's Curls cut into 2. These come with 2 full pieces in the set for £1, so this card only cost me 50p to decorate with this lovely bling, how cheap is that?!

I hope you like my super quick make today, see you again after my hols! :) xx

Ellie Says Hi

Hi Everyone. It's Faye here today, with a little mid-week temptation :)

I have a real soft spot for Tiddly Inks Ellie, she is sooooo adorable to colour, whatever your medium of choice. Ellie Says Hi, comes with the cutest little speech bubble and sentiments, it's hard to not use them! But. As you know, I have a girl crush on Paper Smooches Sentiments, so that's what I went with.

Talking of girl crushes... Lawn Fawn Let's Polka, Mon Amie Paper Pad... Scrumptious colours, I could eat the lot! In fact, it's one of those pads you need two of, one to cut, and one to look at and stroke. I know you know what I'm saying.

So, with all that gorgeousness happening, I thought I'd dig out some of my favourite dies to finish things off... Die-Namics Heart Doily, soooo pretty, and Memory Box Heart Chain Border. Job done!

Circles Circles Circles.........

Morning All! Jane here with my weekly make.....using Circles Circles Circles from Clearly Whimsy Stamps.
I stamped a few of the different circles with versamark and then embossed with white powder then I inked all over with DI......I did have a little mishap with the sentiment....I originally stamped straight onto the panel but the ink smudged where I had embossed so to save having to redo the whole thing I just stamped onto some scrap cardstock and then diecut a fishtail and added to the panel with some 3d foam tape.......problem solved!

I hope you like!

Ahoy Matey!

It's Faye here today... Happy Sunday Peeps :)

With Father's Day just around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to start playing with some of the yummy boy stash in Store. This little fella, oh my gosh, he's cute, isn't he, is called Pirate Boy. I had so much fun colouring him up too. As I've mentioned before, I'm not big on sentiments, but the one that comes with our little pirate is too perfect not to use! Talking of perfect, how spot is the Carta Bella Ahoy There Pad for this image? Swoon!

Talking of, talking of, did you know there's a 15% off discount across the Store this weekend? Just sayin'...

Baby Boy Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone! Linda here.  If you're in the UK I hope you're looking forward the the long Bank Holiday weekend.  It's even longer for me because I have a whole week off, so there won't be much to see from me next week as I'm going away to Guernsey for a few days and then to my parents to celebrate my Dad's 85th!

Anyway, this is my cute little mini album made with Carta Bella Baby Mine Boy....I just love these papers sooooo much!

To be honest this could as easily work for a girl where the family isn't much into pink, also.

This is the front, I went for a 3 ring binding this time. I really love the way this came out.

The inside pages.  There are photo mats on all pages and spaces for tags. There's a flip open page that closes with a small magnet and also a flip down page with a ribbon and button closure.

I used lots of fun die cuts to embellish along with some buttons and enamel dots.

It's quite late as I'm writing this and I'm half asleep, but I will post a video on my blog at the weekend, so that you can see all the removable mats, tags and flip out pages.

I used the following items:
Dies to Die for
Silver Tone Feet Charm

Well that's all from me today, I hope you like it and that it inspires you to have a go :) xx

The Key To My Heart.....

Okay so this has not come out entirely as I imagined it in my head but I am still pretty pleased with it!
I have used the scrummy dies from First Editions Lock and Key set  cutting out one of each of the keys and then glued them to my wooden heart and then painted a few layers of paint and a wee spray of glimmer mist...some flowers and lace to finish!  I am thinking you could add the names for a lovely wedding gift!
I really hope you like it!

It took me 10 mins to choose the sentiment I wanted! I just kept having a giggle at them all because there were a few that fitted!! lol!!!

Thank you for peeking in!

You Gnome Me

Alrighty then! It's Faye here today, and I have some lovely news...

Tracy had a massive My Favourite Things restock this week. Oh yes, these Gnomes (amongst some other rather lovely MFT goodies) are back in stock. (Well, they are as I type this...) I have a serious soft spot for these little fellas, and as you know, I have a paper crush on all Simple Stories Papers. Isn't this one from the A Charmed Life pad super cute with our chap here?

I have a problem with sentiments, which is why you will often see I don't use one. I just can't figure out where to stick them... There are often many rude answers! I have a few favourite solutions.

Luuuuuuurve. Nuff said.

Boy, have they got me out of a few tight squeezes. I often use both Upper and Lower Case, and the numbers come in handy too. Just sayin'.

I am loathe to use the term 'crush' again. But, I'm afraid I do sit in the corner and swoon. Especially the Handwritten Notes Set. I was all over them like a rancid teenager rash the other day, but, I'll share that project another time.

So, to recap... Gnomes, back in stock. Simple Stories, yum. Sentiments don't always suck.

Happy Sunday!

Vintage Wedding Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone, it's nearly the weekend...wheeee!
Linda here again for my regular Friday posting and I have something a little different for you today, it's not a card....don't faint now lol!

I've been messing about with a mini album using the new Maja collection, that's not quite ready to share yet, BUT while researching different styles of page, binding etc, I came across these really neat mini mini albums made from beer mats or drinks coasters.  Now if you don't have any of these you could just cut them from regular chipboard, but luckily for me I had a whole bunch of promotional ones sitting in a draw just waiting for me to be creative :P

As luck would have it Tracy had just sent me some of the gorgeous Vintage Wedding papers from Pion Design, so I made a sweet little wedding album.

I've listed all the products from Dies to Die for at the end of my post.

If you want to see some more close ups of the pages, just visit my blog here.

I did want to try making a video to show you it properly, but I ran out of time to try, so hopefully I will upload the link that on my blog this weekend.

List of products used:

I'm really happy with the way this turned out, the photos really don't do it justice. Also it was so much FUN to make, you really should have a go, I already have the cutest baby beer mat mini nearly completed and I'm sure I'll make more because they really are easy and fun to make.

Right that's all from me today, sadly I'm stuck at work today, but it's the weekend soon and then I get to play ;)  Happy crafting! :) xx

Paper Crush

Alrighty then, it's Faye here today and I'm treating you to a double dose of gorgeousness, with some scrummy goodies from the latest release at C.C.Designs, and papers from Simple Stories. Which, I have to say, I have a serious paper crush on. So, I think it's time for less talking and more looking...

What've we got here then? C.C.Designs Swiss Pixie Ready for Rain... soooooo cute. I've used a C.C.Designs By DIE-Zyne Half Oval Die, to pop up an oval from the back of the card to make a bit of a different card blank. And have I mentioned my Simple Stories paper crush?! This pretty paper comes from Simple Stories A Charmed Life. Lovely colours.

Ready for some more?

This project is all about my fave's. I think the Simple Stories Homespun paper pad has to be my all time favourite. I literally only have a few scraps left. C.C.Designs Swiss Pixie Banner Heidy is also possibly going into my fave's box, along with this old Simple Banner Die from Memory Box.

Anyway, all this talking about favourites has made me hungry, time for some breakfast me thinks! Have a wonderful day.

Eva in Soft Colours

Happy Friday !!

Linda here and today I thought I'd share Eva again, I used her back in January and I used quite deep strong colours and I thought it might be fun to colour her again in a quite different style...well still MY style, but I thought it might be nice to go for much lighter softer colours etc to show the difference.

I used the beautiful Paris Fleamarket Collection from Pion Design, these are so yummy. I edges all my papers with Walnut Stain distress ink.

I coloured her with distress inks to match my papers. You can find those on my blog.

I cut out letters from the border sheet and popped them on some foam squares to make a little sentiment in a Scrapberry polymer frame, I used some Frantage over the frame for a nice effect.

I echoed the layout on the front inside the card, using one of the border strips to replace the lace and ribbon.

That's all from me for today,  have a great weekend! :) xx

Dies to the rescue

Hi Everyone :)

It's Faye here today, sharing something a little different.

Picture this...

It's 4.30 in the afternoon and you're feeling smug, as, your Brother and Sister-in-Law's Wedding Anniversary is coming up, and you still have loads of time left to make a card. Slowly, it dawns on you that the week or so you had to delay making it, because you really struggle with Anniversary cards play with, has gone, the Anniversary is tomorrow, and the last post goes in one hour.

OMG. Actually. I think I might say that again. OMG! There may have been a few other words in there too. I'll leave that to your imagination.

Tell me you haven't been there? Because, it's not the first time I've been caught out with Anniversary cards. Did I mention how much I dislike making Anniversary cards? I'm not overly keen on Wedding cards either, but, I manage to get into the spirit of that more easily.

Anyhoo. What to do. I have an hour. Ok, scrub that, because I've been running around the house swearing for twenty minutes. I have forty minutes. What to do? I reach for my MFT Dies, is what I do. I have a soft spot for My Favourite Things, and as I said, it's not the first time I've been caught like this... I'm a Dies To The Rescue Veteran.

In this instance, I've layered some Vellum, which I embossed with hearts and distressed, onto a card blank. Then I layered the Die-Namics Layered Heart, with more distressing, vellum and twine, to make a focal point.

On other occasions, the card has been similar, but I have used Die-Namics Heart Stax, or Die-Namics Heart Doily and then layered Die-Namics Boy Meets Girl on top, for something a little quirky and fun. Of course, if hearts are your thing, don't forget about Die-Namics Pierced Heart Stax and Die-Namics Stitchable Heart Stax!

Oooof, that's a lot of scrummy product right there. Now, before you flick my ear for tempting you with all these goodies, you know there's 15% off, across the whole Store this weekend, right? New La-La Land Dies and Stamps are now in stock, along with all the lovely new Cheery Lynn Dies, Pion Design Vintage Wedding and Colour Palette Papers, and Memory Box Stencils and Dies. Ooopsy. Did I say that out loud?!

Have a great day!

Cocktail Dress

Happy Friday folks! Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend as much as me.

It's a work pal's 40th soon and for once I had the time to think about making a specific card.  I thought that Time for Tea's Cocktail Dress would be just perfect for this, who wouldn't enjoy cocktails on their 40th birthday.....well maybe some people wouldn't, but that's certainly not me, though my 40th is definitely behind me lol!

I used another of the Make a Card die sets from CC designs, I used the 2 larger rectangle shapes to mount my fussy cut image, plus the long narrow one for my sentiment.

I just love these little polymer frames from Scrapberry, they are perfect as an accent and I used it here to frame the number 40.  I'm sure she will just love me reminding her how old she is lol!

You can find a full list of items available from the shop below:

That's all from me today, have a lovely Friday and if you're in the UK I hope you enjoy the long weekend :) xx
