Romantic Eva

Happy Friday everyone, DT Linda here and so it's nearly the weekend!  I've been super busy this week working on some secret projects that I can't tell you about just yet, but I will say it's terribly exciting!

I must admit to being just a little bit in love with today's card, the mojo was just racing along with this one, I had so much fun making it.

The beautiful girl is Eva, a Saturated Canary image from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.
Isn't she gorgeous?

I went for a romantic vintage feel with this and it could easily be sent as a Valentines card as for a birthday or other occasion.  For that reason I didn't add a sentiment to the card....well that and I ran out of room lol!

I coloured her with my Distress Markers, and colours can be found on my blog here. I cut her out with one of my MFT Pierced Ovals dies I added a few dots of liquid pearls around my image.
I used some lovely sale papers from Bildmalarna and layered them up, inked and hand sewed them as usual.

and decorated the inside simply to complement the front.

Well that's all from me today, do head over to my blog if you want more details and photos. Have a great weekend, and I'll see you next Friday! :) xx

"Serena"

Hello everyone it's Ann-Marie popping in today to share a crafty make with you all.

For my card I got to play with the sweetest fairy from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps - From the Hollow collection called 'Serena' and coloured her up with my copics.  I took my colour inspiration from Websters Pages 'Parkdrive' paper pack and this is a beautiful collection of papers and are a lovely quality to work with but I seem to have managed to cover the majority of them up but trust me they're gorgeous.

Okay that's all from me today.  Enjoy the remainder of your week and I hope you get to sneak in a little crafting.

Serenade Moments for Valentines or Anytime

Morning all! Linda here.Well that's another week almost done and looking forward to my weekend again. With Valentines seemingly just around the corner I'm sure you're getting a huge chunk of Velentine's cards thrown your way to look at. So my card today which has a definite love theme and would make a perfect card for Valentine's, but also for other occasions because I steered away from the 'traditional' Valentine colours of pink and red (ok there is a little red in there, but really not enough to make a difference).

This super cute stamp is one of the Candibeans range, isn't it lovely? I'm still on my Distress Ink colouring kick...well my OH bought my a bunch for Christmas so it would be rude not too.

I've not added the colours used today because to be honest I coloured it a couple of weeks back and I've forgotten doh!

The beautiful papers are from the new Maja collection Nyhavn, aren't they just scrummy, they are limited edition though so they won't be available forever.  Lovely colours and made me feel quite summery in the middle of winter!

As usual I've inked and hand stitched all my layers.

Love that cut out heart die and the edging round the card is made from a large die cut into pieces. I used the border strip from one of the papers to make up a little sentiment banner.

Well that's all from me for today, I will see you again next Friday with some more inspiration :) xx

'You're Amazing'

Hello everyone it's Ann-Marie popping in today to share a little something with you all.  Today I have a card that is completely out of my comfort zone as there's no colouring, designer paper or ribbon involved but I do love how it turned out and I think it's a good thing to challenge yourself to do something a little different from your norm occasionally.

For my card I used the 'Gingham Background' stamp from My Favourite Things which is a lovely big stamp to work with and stamped up beautifully and teamed this up with one of the sentiments from the My Favourite Things 'Banner Greetings' set and used the matching Die-namics 'Banner Greetings' die to cut out the sentiment which makes things a whole lot easier.  I then layered this up on to a die cut heart made using Nellie's Multi Frames 'Heart' set which is actually on offer in the store.  Anyway, let me show you the outcome.

Okay, that's all from me today.  I hope you have had an enjoyable weekend and thank you for stopping by.

I dream of Genie with the Lime Green Hair

Happy Friday everyone! Linda here.  It was my first week back at work today after my holidays (well I say week I was only in for 2 days lol) and I'm already missing my craft corner, it was really nice to have the time to really go all out and get creative.

I'd been itching to ink up this stamp for quite a while now and yeah I know that maybe genies are supposed to be all floaty and ethereal BUT, look at that funky hair? To me she was crying out to be totally edgy and cool.

I was originally going to colour her with my Copics, or Inktense pencils, but I got all these new colours for Christmas that I wanted to play with and it seems you can go bold and bright with Distress Ink and still keep that translucent delicate look, it shouldn't work, but it does.  I hope you like her.

I've added links to products used at the end of my post.

If you want to know the colours used, please head over to my blog

Then I covered her trousers and top with Glamour Dust, which looks really lovely and sparkly, but I could not get the camera to pick it up hardly at all.

I edged my papers (these are old Glitz ones called Hoopla but you can get them in a sale bundle which is a really super deal) with Old Paper Distress Ink and hand stitched them all with Top Stitch thread and edged all the dies with the same ink and some splodges of Gesso.  The dies here are from Cheery Lynn and Little Darlings.

Finally I decorated the inside to complement the front and spritzed the whole up with some flowers, lace and ribbon and some little sparklies from my stash.

Well that's it from me, I do hope you liked my take on Genie and I'll see you again next week! :) xx

Woodland Winter

Hello everyone Ann-Marie popping in today to share a little craftiness with you all.

Okay so I know you've all probably had enough of anything Christmas related but Tracy sent me the most cutest set of stamps and as my Christmas stash was still out all over my craft room I couldn't resist playing with them.  The stamp set is 'Woodland Winter' by Taylored Expressions and you get such a fab choice to play with and if you look on the shop website here there is even a set of matching dies you can use.  I kept my card really simple I paper pieced the tree from a couple of sheets from the paper pad 'December Documented' by Simple Stories, coloured up the cute little squirrel with my copics and stamped out one of the sentiments in the stamp set.  Such a simple card but I love it.

Items Used

stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' ink

Okay so that's all from me today.  I hope you had a lovely Christmas and wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

Take care.
