You're Appreciated

Hello everyone, hope you are well and that you are as pleased as I am that it is nearly the weekend. I had lots of fun in my craft room making todays card. The MFT image was a really nice one to colour up.

This would be a great stamp set for making thank you cards for teachers. It has some great sentiment to go along with this image. However, because I'm not still at School (!) and I don't have any kids, I've gone for a more generic version.

Everything available from DTDF, just follow the linkies below!

Just Because

Hi all! Friday means that it is my turn to post on the blog!

I've taken a slightly different approach with today's card. You know you often get a plain design on the back of pretty papers? Well, other than using it to cover the base of my card blank, I don't often give these plain designs a lot of attention. However, these Authentique papers had such a pretty plain side that I decided to make them the focus of my card.

I think that the number of layers adds the detail needed to make up for the lack of pattern... what do you think?

Whilst I'm never going to abandon pretty papers entirely, I'm glad I gave the neglected reverse side a chance to shine :o)

I have coloured her with Copics and a touch of White Pen, and the papers are Inkido and have all been distressed with chalk inks, I have kept it nice and simple to show the image....

I have added some Stardust to them for a touch of sparkle, I have added some pearls and some Butterflies, and glittered the wings...

TGF Riley...

Good Morning, well the kids are back to school this week...so maybe a little more crafty time for me. I did however get a little time and here is what I made...

Here is a card from me using The Greeting Farm Riley stamped onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured with Copics using the following colours...
Skin - E000/E00/E11/R20
Hair - E15/E17/E18/E19
Clothing - B91/B93/B95/B97/Y32/Y28/C3/C5
The papers are all Teresa Collins Everyday Moments layered using Bazzill cardstock. I added some bling to finish off. I cut the fishtail shape using my craft knife, but you can also use a Die-namics Fishtail Flags Stax.

Tilda with winding flowers

I dug the Distress Markers out again yesterday (although I used the reinkers alongside the markers and prefer the finish of combining the two together, so I think that in future I will be using the markers to enhance the reinkers.  I love the fine detail achieved with the markers, especially for creases/folds in clothes and the hair.  The links to the products used are at the end of the post.

bev-rochester-tilda-winding-flowers

I coloured her with the following colours

Skin: Tattered Rose, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo
Blouse and shoes: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Skirt: Peeled Paint, Black Soot
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint
Grass: Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw, Black Soot
Shading around Tilda: Tumbled Glass

That’s all from me today

Make a Wish

Hello all. Hope you haven't been washed away in this horrendous weather! Here is something a bit more bright and cheerful for you :o)

Once again, I couldn't resist whipping out another CC Designs image (soooo cute) and yet more Echo Park paper... Yes, I know I'm obsessed and may need to expand my crafty repertoire, but how can I when all these goodies are so delicious?!

Regular readers of my blog will know that I also have a love for Die-Namics, so I had to squeeze in a little close-up of my sparkly butterflies, didn't I?!

Hope you've enjoyed reading about my little card. Everything featured is available in the DTDF store, so get clicking on the links below :o)
